Are items on sale in-store also available online?
The garments hanging in our retail space are not listed on our website. However, we are happy to set up a product page for anything you see in a social media post and have to have. Just shoot us a DM and we'll put everything together as an online purchase.
Are items listed online available to purchase in-store?
You won't find them on the clothing racks, no. But, you can order online and pick them up locally to avoid shipping fees. To do this, select the "Local Pickup" shipping option at checkout. Exceptions may be made for special garments. We will make note of this in the product description when applicable.


Is every garment one of-a-kind?
Most items are vintage one-of-kind or part of a small collection. We try to mention this in product descriptions, but feel free to ask about specifics by clicking the "Ask a question" button on each product page. We do sometimes carry small collections of new products in addition to a small stock of Hunt & Gather Originals.

Where do vintage garments come from?
Garments are collected from any number of flea markets, estate sales, swap meets, and other eclectic gatherings of goods and people in Southern California and around the world.

Do you ever restock items?
Almost all items we carry are individually unique. Most are not available for bulk purchase at our store or by wholesalers. The new or vintage products we do carry in small collections will be listed as variants online. Hunt & Gather Originals, when available, will be restocked in multiple sizes.

How are garments prepped before resale?
Prep for each item is different depending on fabric, construction, and many other aspects. Typically, they are either machine or hand washed and gone over to correct small imperfections like hanging threads and loose buttons. Some items are added to or enhanced by our design team. These will be noted in their description.

How are Hunt & Gather items priced?
Online catalog pricing is developed with consideration of three major points of our product offering, 1) time and capital spent obtaining original pieces, 2) time and supplies spent cleaning, correcting, or enhancing garments, 3) time spent organizing and arranging items for online purchase.

How often is the online catalog updated?
We aim to update our online store as often as possible. But, look for additional items to be made available for special events or during festival season. Add your name to our email list to be notified of catalog updates directly.

Can I track my package?
A tracking number for your USPS shipment will be sent via email as soon as one is generated and relayed back to us. If this information is missing, or you did not receive an order confirmation, send us a message and we'll investigate the problem.

What should I do if my shipment is missing items?
In the event your package is missing items, please forward your confirmation email to info@huntandgathershop.com and make note of missing garments. Please mark this email as "urgent" to ensure we're alerted as soon as possible.

How long until my items are shipped?
Delivery times may vary for any number of reasons, but expect most deliveries to take about ten days. Please refer to the tracking information in your order confirmation email for delivery estimates. Review USPS shipping protocol, here.

Do you ship internationally?
Not at the moment. But, we're open to it in the future if there's enough demand.

Can I pick up an order if buying in the San Diego area?
Yes! Absolutely positively free shipping for items picked up in-store.

How are shipping rates calculated?
Since our garments vary greatly in size and weight, we do not have a flat shipping rate. Each order's shipping fee is calculated using its physical measurements, to generate rates that are as close to perfectly accurate as we can get them.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! Orders of more than $100.00 are mailed for free! We open this offer to all orders for special occasions.

Can I sell my goods at Hunt & Gather?
We are not accepting additional consignment designers at this time. However, we aren't in the business of turning down good ideas. Collaboration inquiries are welcome, and can be sent via our Contact page.

Can I use Hunt & Gather garments for a commercial shoot?

Can I hire Hunt & Gather staff for styling?
In-store or on location, sometimes a job is better off in the hands of a professional. Collaboration inquiries are welcome, and can be sent via our Contact page.

Do you do any custom or commissioned work?
We are currently busy getting to know our online store but we love a good project. Ideas can be sent via our Contact page. Be sure to reference specific garments with links and photos.

Under what circumstances may I return items?
Vintage items have been worn and loved by a previous owner. They are sold as-is, with product descriptions intended to address overall condition as well as specific imperfections. With that said, items may be returned if grossly misrepresented or damaged in transit within 30 days of purchase, for store credit only. Please send us an email including order information and photographs of the item in question to confirm a return and credit.

How can I send items back?
We regret any situation that leaves our customers unsatisfied. In this event, please contact our team to confirm a return and credit before shipping the item back to the below address. We are not responsible for return shipping fees.

Our store is hosted by Shopify Inc. and most payments are processed via Shopify Pay. We accept all major credit and debit cards, in addition to PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

How do I use a promo code?
Promo codes are entered at checkout. Codes are case sensitive and one-time use.

Are there any discounts available?
Individual markdowns will be shown per item when applicable. In addition, calendar discounts will go into effect for special events and seasons, these will be noted on the homepage, promoted on social media, and applied automatically during checkout. Add your name to our email list to be notified of discounts and sales.
